Rev. Dr. Rodger Woodworth is the Director of Cross-Cultural Ministries for the Coalition for Christian Outreach, a college ministry on 90 campuses from Columbus, OH to Washington DC. He writes the blog “Cross-Cultural Convergence,” is an adjunct seminary professor at the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary (RPTS) with a Doctorate of Ministry in Complex Urban Settings and serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Urban Ministerial Education.

Who can attend The Academy?
The Academy is for incoming Geneva College freshman, especially those from urban high schools.

What are the goals of the program?
The goal is to prepare these students to lead and succeed in college by developing their leadership skills, build a community with fellow students, create a guiding vision for the future and enhance their college success tools.

In what types of activities will students be involved?
They will participate in a cohort of students through lectures, discussions, reading, videos and field trips. This cohort is intended to stay together for mutual support through graduation.

What are the benefits of the program?
The benefit for the student is successful graduation and developed leadership skills to take back to their community. The college benefits from the increased diversity of successful student leaders on campus.
