50 year Celebration of Approval by ACS

On April 19, 2008, the Geneva College Chemistry Department celebrated 50 years of maintaining the approved status of the American Chemical Society’s Committee on Professional Training. A daylong event was held on campus in conjunction with Alumni Day to commemorate this milestone. Significant events of the day included the following presentations, all by Geneva College Chemistry and Chemical Engineering alumni. This event was well attended by alumni, faculty, and current and prospective students. The variety of possible career directions possible with a chemistry background was very evident, as was the excellent quality of work being done by Geneva alumni.
