Ways to Earn Credit

In addition to the major, the bachelor’s degree includes a number of graduation requirements which may be met through one or more of the following options:

  Bridge Program Courses  
    Geneva offers a variety of elective and core courses in an eight-week accelerated format. 
  Transfer credits  
    Credits earned at other regionally accredited institutions. 
  Military training  
    The American Council on Education evaluates educational experiences in the armed services and makes credit recommendations. 
  Certifications  
    Geneva College awards credits for some professional certifications. 
  Training programs  
    The American Council on Education evaluates and makes credit recommendations for formal educational programs and courses offered by organizations. 
  CLEP, DANTES and other exams  
    Students can earn credit by passing exams in relevant subject areas. 


 


 

Point of Excellence

Geneva graduates pass the test for teacher certification in elementary education (Praxis II) at over a 99% rate in the first attempt–one of the highest pass rates in Pennsylvania.
