Core Requirements
For graduation, students must successfully complete the following core requirements:
- Humanities, six credit hours—A study of literary, visual and musical arts in a historical and intellectual context.

Art appreciation and history
World literature
European history and Western civilization
Music appreciation and history
Introduction to or history of philosophy
History of theater - Natural science, six credit hours—Can be three credits of science and three credits of math.
Options include:
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Geology
Astronomy
Earth space or physical science
College-level math, minimum of two years of high school algebra
Statistics - Social science, three credit hours—must be an introductory-level, survey course.
Options include:
Economics
U.S. history
Psychology
Sociology
Cultural anthropology
Political science
World geography
