Expanding South Africa studies program

cornerstone1.jpgDr. Jeffrey Cole, associate professor of history, will travel to Cape Town, South Africa to meet with officials of Cornerstone Christian College in March 2006. Geneva asked Cole to visit Cornerstone Christian and explore ways to expand the study abroad program between the two colleges.

Victoria Miller, senior sociology major, studied at Cornerstone Christian last spring as part of Geneva's study abroad program. Her experience included reconciliation studies related to apartheid, working in an AIDS orphanage, and a home stay with a South African family.

Geneva's partnership with Cornerstone Christian provides students an opportunity to understand the Christian worldview from a more global perspective and is one of two programs in Africa promoted by Crossroads--Geneva's center for off-campus study.
