Three alumni serve six months in mission field

jason_oneill.jpgGeneva alumni Matthew Stewart ’04, Jason O’Neil ’04, and Titus Martin ’01 (pictured right) recently returned from a round-the-globe mission trip that included stops in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.

The group traveled for over eight months, meeting believers all over the world and helping out with youth groups, schools, evangelism, Bible studies, and prayer meetings. In some areas, the group focused on shadowing pastors and getting to know local congregations; at other times the alumni focused on outreach.

“For the most part, the purpose of our trip was to live out and learn from others living out the Great Commission in different parts of the world,” said Stewart. “We wanted to learn more rp_missions.jpgabout missions and how we can serve, as well as about the rest of the world in general.”

The Middle East, in particular, provided many opportunities for the group to reach out. Steward said that one of the highlights of the trip was an opportunity to give a Middle Eastern friend an Arabic Bible.

“I hope and trust God used us as instruments to build his kingdom,” said Stewart.
