THANK YOU, GENEVA COLLEGE
The following letter is from Geneva head football coach Geno DeMarco. Geno played for the Golden Tornadoes in the 1980s, then returned as head coach in 1993. He has coached (and won) more games than any coach in Geneva football history.
To the Geneva College Community:
I am writing to convey my gratitude to the entire Geneva community for recognizing my family during Family Weekend. Seeing my father walk to the center of the field as an honorary captain, I immediately thought of the number of individuals who prayed for him and encouraged him during the past year of his serious illness.
Geneva expresses its compassion in many ways to those in need, and the outpouring of concern for my dad was much appreciated. As an alumnus, I understand that our college has a certain sense of community that I cannot put into words.
As a former student, as an employee reflecting on my years at the college, and now as a father, I am overwhelmed by the influence of Geneva. It is more than a place to learn, a place to remember or a place to send our children for a Christian education.
It is a place where lives are changed.
Thank you, Geneva College.
