Join Geneva faculty and keynote speakers June 8 and 9 at the college’s first-ever faculty-developed conference aimed at alumni.

Titled “Transforming Society through CARE & GRACE: Geneva Alum in Servant Leadership,” the conference will feature President Emeritus Jack White and Dr. Rockwell Dillaman, senior pastor at Allegheny Center Alliance Church speaking about Geneva’s mission statement.

“The conference is a call to Geneva alumni to reaffirm our faith in Christ and to fervently pursue our mission statement (to transform society by and for the kingdom of Christ) through individual and collaborative ministry and service endeavors,” said Dr. Cathy (Edwards ’83) Sigmund, who teaches in Geneva’s psychology department.

In addition to White and Dillaman, other speakers will address topics including educating and equipping servant-leaders, building church-community partnerships in human services, and the role of the Holy Spirit in guiding and empowering us in service.

Sigmund said the hope is that Geneva alumni—particularly those in the fields of psychology, counseling, human services, Bible, missions, student ministries, community ministries and sociology and graduates of Geneva’s DCP, MSOL, CUBM and CUTS programs—will attend and “agree to work with Geneva, as well as the Society for CARE (Christ-centered Application of Research and Education) in Human Services, in addressing human needs locally, regionally and nationally in the name of Christ.”

For more information, contact Sigmund at or the department of psychology, counseling and human services at 724-847-6542. The registration fee for the conference is $60.
