Shannon Rech – Cross Country Shannon Rech has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Rech posted an 18th place overall finish over the weekend at the Walsh University Invitational. Finishing as Geneva’s top female runner, Rech posted another national qualifying time of 20:28. Rech and her teammates will be competing at the PAC championships this weekend before she heads off to represent Geneva at the NCCAA national meet on November 14 at Cedarville University. |

Matt Dean – Football Matt Dean has been selected as the Male Student-Athlete of the Week. Dean helped lead Geneva to a 38-20 victory over Saint Vincent College on Saturday and move to 6-1 on the season. Dean scored three touchdowns in the game including runs of 2, 4 and 48 yards. He rushed for 66 yards on seven carries with an average of nearly ten yards per rush. For the season, Dean leads the Golden Tornadoes with ten rushing touchdowns. |
