Kara Zimmerman – Tennis Kara Zimmerman has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Zimmerman won a pair of singles matches and a key doubles match on the weekend as the Golden Tornadoes improved to 4-3 in the PAC. After a singles victory on Tuesday against Franciscan, Zimmerman accounted for two wins in Geneva’s 5-4 victory over Waynesburg on Saturday. She won her singles match in straight sets and then teamed up with Cassandra Califf for a win at #1 doubles. |

Rocco Colavecchia – Football Rocco Colavecchia has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Despite falling to Waynesburg on Saturday, Colavecchia did more than keep up his end of the bargain. The quarterback/receiver accounted for four of Geneva’s five touchdowns on Saturday. He ran for a pair of touchdowns from 16 and two yards out. He also threw for a pair of touchdowns from 53 and nine yards away. For the game, he finished with 53 yards rushing, 160 yards passing and three catches for 41 yards. |
