Michawn Rich - Basketball Michawn Rich has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the week. Rich helped guide the Golden Tornadoes to a 1-1 week including a 74-63 victory over LaRoche last Monday. In that game, Rich scored 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds. She was 10-13 from the foul line to help Geneva hold onto the victory. The next day, Geneva dropped a heartbreaking 60-58 loss to Pitt-Greensburg. Rich scored nine points and pulled down a team best 12 rebounds. She also had a combined seven assists last week to lead the team in that category. |

Richard Colick - Basketball Richard Colick has been selected as the Male Student-Athlete of the Week. Colick opened the 2008-09 season with a 12 point effort in Geneva's 104-58 victory over Philadelphia Biblical. Colick caught fire in the championship game despite a Geneva loss to Mt. Union. In the finals, Colick scored a career high 34 points and posted a team best 12 rebounds. He was 12-16 from the field and 8-8 from the foul line. Colick was named to the All-Tournament team along with teammate David Phillips.
