Chelsea D’Urso – Basketball Chelsea D’Urso has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Despite a pair of losses this past week the women’s basketball team got a pair of solid performances from junior guard Chelsea D’Urso. Last Wednesday night, D’Urso caught fire against Thomas More and posted a game high 19 points on 7-10 shooting from the field. On Saturday, D’Urso added ten points and five rebounds in a loss at Bethany. For the season, D’Urso leads Geneva with 11 points per game. |

Jake McCracken – Soccer Jake McCracken has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Helping Geneva through a tremendous run through the NCCAA national tournament, McCracken scored in each of the Golden Tornadoes’ three matches. McCracken helped Geneva to a second place finish at the national tournament. He finished the season with 15 goals, which tied him for the third highest single season total in school history. He finished his career with 34 goals, which is the third highest on the all-time list. McCracken scored goals against Palm Beach Atlantic, Judson and the only Geneva goal in a 2-1 loss to California Baptist in the national championship game. |
