Valerie Hamilton has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Hamilton enjoyed back to back solid performances for the Golden Tornadoes last week as the Golden Tornadoes defeated Thiel on Saturday after falling to W & J earlier in the week. Hamilton scored 20 points in the loss to W & J to go along with ten rebounds. She posted her second consecutive double-double on Saturday with ten points and 14 rebounds in the victory over Thiel College. For the season, Hamilton is averaging over 11 points and nearly seven rebounds per game.

Lambros Svingos has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Svingos has played a key role in Geneva’s perfect 3-0 week and its current four-game winning streak. On Saturday, Svingos led the Golden Tornadoes past Thiel College with a team best 16 points to go along with seven rebounds. In Geneva’s win at Washington & Jefferson earlier in the week, Svingos was a perfect 5-5 from the field and finished the game with 15 points. For the season, Svingos is averaging 11 points and six rebounds per game with Geneva sitting at 5-3 for the season.
