Jon Shope – Cross Country Jon Shope has been chosen as the men’s co-student athlete of the week. Shope ran a career and all-time school best time of 26:54 in finishing 10th overall at the NCCAA national meet at Cedarville on Saturday. Shope and his teammates finished sixth overall for the highest national finish in school history. For his 10th place finish, Shope received NCCAA All-American honors. He recorded the first sub-27:00 minute time in a men’s 8K in school history. |

Gerard Muschette – Football Gerard Muschette has been chosen as the men’s co-student athlete of the week. Muschette broke the all-time rushing record with his 190 yard performance in Geneva’s 30-24 triple overtime victory over Westminster on Saturday. Muschette finished his career with 3,891 yards surpassing Melvin Cobbs’ all-time mark that had stood for 11 years. Muschette capped off a magical day with the game winning touchdown on a 17 yard run in the third overtime period on the final carry of his career. Muschette’s touchdown was his record 45th of his amazing career. |
