Beth DeLuca – Basketball Beth DeLuca was named the female student-athlete of the week. Despite a pair of losses at the Big Easy Challenge tournament in New Orleans, LA, DeLuca was Geneva’s leading scorer in both games. DeLuca scored 20 points on 7-18 shooting from the field in a loss to SUNY-Plattsburgh before posting nine points and five rebounds in Geneva’s loss to SUNY-Institute of Technology. |

David Phillips – Basketball David Phillips has been selected as the men’s student-athlete of the week. Phillips became the 36th member of the men’s basketball 1000 point club with his performance at the California Lutheran tournament last week. Phillips scored 12 points in a loss against Carthage and then posted 21 points in Geneva’s loss to California Lutheran. In that game, Phillips scored his 1000th career point to join that club in his fourth season with the Golden Tornadoes. Phillips was also named to the California Lutheran All-tournament team. |
