Leah Prisuta has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Prisuta helped lead Geneva’s women’s basketball team to a victory over Carlow University in the only game of the week. In a defensive struggle, the Golden Tornadoes snuck past the Celtics by the score of 42-36. Prisuta came up with a team high ten points while also posting a career best nine steals in the victory. For the season, Prisuta ranks third in the PAC with 33 steals on the season.

Richard Colick has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Colick received tournament most valuable player honors for his role in Geneva’s tournament championship victory at Case Western Reserve last week. Colick scored 29 points in Geneva’s opening round victory over Kalamazoo and followed that up with an 18 point effort in the championship game against Case Western. He also averaged eight rebounds in the two victories as the Golden Tornadoes moved their overall record to 8-3 at the end of 2010.
