Beth DeLuca – Basketball

Beth DeLuca has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. DeLuca almost carried Geneva to its first conference victory on Saturday as she posted 17 points in a loss at Grove City. DeLuca knocked down three treys along the way and shot 6-18 from the field for the game. She also scored a team high eight points in a loss to Thomas More earlier in the week.

Lambros Svingos has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Returning from an early season injury, Svingos has found his mid-season form with a pair of solid outings that helped Geneva pick up its first two conference victories. Last Wednesday, Svingos scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds in a win over Waynesburg. On Saturday, he posted 14 points and 13 rebounds in helping defeat Grove City. For the week, Svingos was 12-18 (67%) from the field.
