Alyse Scarsella – Basketball Alyse Scarsella has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week for the third consecutive week. Scarsella continued her outstanding play with a pair of solid performances for the Golden Tornadoes. She scored 20 points on 10-13 shooting from the field in a 70-45 victory at Penn State Greater Allegheny last Thursday. On Saturday, Scarsella posted a team high 18 points in a loss to Bethany at home. Scarsella has helped the Golden Tornadoes to a 5-4 overall record heading into the holiday break. |

David Phillips – Basketball David Phillips has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Phillips helped Geneva to a 2-1 week including road victories at Penn State Beaver and Malone. Phillips scored a team high 17 points in the win at Penn State Beaver including a perfect 5-5 effort from three-point range. He knocked down three more treys in Geneva’s upset victory over 22nd ranked Malone. Phillips scored 11 points and added three more long distance jumpers in a home loss to Bethany on Saturday night. For the week, Phillips was 11-19 (58%) from three-point range. |
