Michawn Rich - Basketball Michawn Rich has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Rich, who is the only remaining senior on the roster, has now won the award for the third time in four weeks. Despite a 65-55 loss to Bethany in the only action of the week, Rich single-handedly kept the Golden Tornadoes in the game. Geneva rallied from 18 points down in the first half to get within three at halftime on the strength of 20 first half points from Rich. She finished the game with a career high 31 points and a career best 19 rebounds. She was 12-27 from the field, including her first two three-point field goals of the season. |

Justin Nardi - Basketball Justin Nardi has been selected as the Male Student-Athlete of the Week. Nardi, one of only two seniors on the Geneva roster, led the Golden Tornadoes to a key victory over Bethany College, the defending conference champions. Nardi scored 21 points in a 98-94 overtime victory that put an end to the Geneva five-game losing streak. Nardi was 8-9 from the field, including a pair of three-point field goals and a perfect 3-3 from the foul line. |
