Christine Carugati – Basketball Christine Carugati has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Despite a pair of losses, Carugati enjoyed a solid week for the Golden Tornadoes. Most notably, the senior guard scored a season best 19 points in a 75-54 loss to Grove City last Wednesday night. Carugati was 6-11 from the field, including three field goals from beyond the three-point arc. She also pulled down a team best six rebounds in just 23 minutes of action. |

Lambros Svingos – Basketball Lambros Svingos has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Svingos dominated Westminster on Saturday night with 19 points and eight rebounds. Svingos was 7-9 from the field and 5-7 from the foul line as the Golden Tornadoes cruised to a 93-80 victory over Titans. He also pulled down six rebounds in Geneva’s 71-59 win over Grove City on Wednesday night. The Golden Tornadoes are 11-4 on the season and Svingos is averaging 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. |
