Christine Carugati has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Despite a pair of losses, Geneva’s Christine Carugati shined as a bright spot for the Golden Tornadoes last week. Carugati opened her week with a pair of three point field goals to spark a 10-point comeback that forced the game with Grove City into overtime. On Saturday, Carugati scored a game high 15 points including three treys. She also was effective on the defensive end of the floor with a team high four steals in the loss.

Rich Colick has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Colick led the Golden Tornadoes to a pair of victories last week to extend the Geneva win streak to four games. He posted 13 points and 13 rebounds in Geneva’s win over Grove City before a game high 18 points in a victory at Westminster on Saturday night. Colick leads Geneva with 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He also leads the team in steals and blocks.
