Samantha Fisher – Basketball

Samantha Fisher has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Despite a pair of losses last week, Fisher continued her second half surge with solid performances against Bethany and Waynesburg. After playing 38 minutes against Bethany and scoring seven points and grabbing three rebounds, Fisher posted 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 31 minutes against Waynesburg. Second on the team in rebounding, she is also now averaging near eight points per game.

Matt Lorello – Basketball
Junior – Forward

Matt Lorello has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. With the highest shooting percentage in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, Lorello didn’t do anything to hurt that distinction last week. Lorello was 11-13 (85%) from the field in games against Bethany and Waynesburg. He scored ten points on 5-5 shooting in a loss to Bethany before posting a team best 19 points and nine rebounds in Geneva’s victory over Waynesburg on Saturday afternoon.
