Beth DeLuca - Basketball Beth DeLuca has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Week. DeLuca averaged 15.3 points per game in Geneva's perfect 3-0 week. DeLuca scored a career best 19 points in the Golden Tornadoes' 70-63 victory at Chatham on Wednesday. She was 8-11 (73%) from three-point range for the week and leads Geneva for the season with her long-range mark of close to 50%. Coming off the bench in all three games this week, DeLuca provided the Golden Tornadoes with a spark that helped them to a perfect 3-0 record and it moved the overall record to 7-5. DeLuca also pulled down 14 rebounds in Geneva's three wins. |

David Phillips - Basketball David Phillips has been selected as the Male Student-Athlete of the Week. Phillips posted a career high 25 points in Geneva's 80-60 victory over Waynesburg on Saturday night. Phillips was only one of only two players to reach double figures in Geneva's loss at Malone on Thursday with an 11-point effort. In the victory over Waynesburg, Phillips was a perfect 5-5 from three-point range in the first half and finished the game with six treys on seven attempts. He also pulled down six rebounds in helping to put an end to Geneva's four-game losing streak. |
