Kathryn Regalado – Indoor Track and Field Kathryn Regalado has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. One of 11 student-athletes representing Geneva College at the NCCAA national indoor track and field meet over the weekend, the sophomore thrower put together a solid effort. Regalado finished fifth overall at Cedarville University in the shot put event with a final distance of 38-11. Along with teammate Katherine Michalak, Geneva placed two women in the top seven in the shot put. |

David Phillips – Basketball David Phillips has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Phillips and his senior teammates helped Geneva’s men’s basketball team climb out of a five-game losing slide with a 100-85 victory over Westminster on Saturday night. Phillips posted a team best 31 points in the victory on 11-15 shooting and four three-point field goals. Phillips also scored 20 points in a loss at Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday night. Phillips’ effort on Saturday helped Geneva secure the sixth seed in the upcoming PAC tournament. |
