Geneva College Athletes of the week for the week of February 8-13, 2010:

Female:

Alyse Scarsella – Basketball

Alyse Scarsella has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Scarsella averaged 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in three games last week. Geneva defeated Chatham for its first road victory of the season with Scarsella scoring 16 points in the victory. On Saturday, she posted 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a loss to Grove City. For the season, Scarsella is averaging nearly 11 points and seven rebounds per game.

Elliott Law has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Law, who hasn’t seen much action this year, played back to back solid games off the bench for the Golden Tornadoes. In Geneva’s 75-52 victory over Saint Vincent, Law was a perfect 3-3 from the field with a career best 11 points. On Saturday night, Law scored seven points on 3-6 shooting in an overtime loss to Grove City College.
