Martha Adams – Softball Martha Adams has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Adams came up big at the plate with a game tying double in Geneva’s come-from-behind victory at Point Park on Thursday. Her two run hit enabled the Golden Tornadoes to rally and eventually gain a split with an extra inning victory. For the week, Adams was 5-14 (.357) with a pair of RBI’s and two stolen bases. On Saturday, she started game two against Hiram and went four innings allowing just three earned runs in helping Geneva gain a split. |

Adam Scheiderer – Baseball Adam Scheiderer has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Scheiderer was on fire at the plate last week going 9-15 with 14 RBI’s and a pair of homers. Scheiderer’s .600 batting average helped lead a Geneva offense that scored 62 runs in five games in winning four out of five. Geneva took two out of three from Penn State Beaver before sweeping a doubleheader against Baptist Bible. Scheiderer had a pair of four RBI games and one five RBI game last week. For the season, he is hitting .438 with a team best 16 RBI’s. |
