Geneva College Athletes of the week for the week of March 23-28:

Female:

Amy Pearce - Softball

Amy Pearce has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Pearce led her Geneva team to a 3-1 finish for the week including a win over Grove City and a doubleheader sweep over Penn State Beaver. Pearce hit .600 (6-10) for the week including seven RBI's and three runs scored. Even more impressive was her on-base percentage of .750 for the week. She reached base 12 times in 16 plate appearances. In a five RBI effort against Penn State Beaver, Pearce launched her second home run of the season and 23rd of her career. Number 23 tied her for the lead on the all-time Geneva College home run list.

Bobby Rex has been selected as the Male Student-Athlete of the Week. Rex took home three first place awards at last week's Grove City College Invitational. Rex won individual honors with the top spot in the 100 meter (11.64) and the 200 meter (23.52) events. He used help from his relay teammates to bring home first place in the 4 x 100 relay with an overall time of 44.87. It was the first outdoor meet in Rex's career and he was responsible for three of Geneva's seven first place finishes.
