Jon Jurinko has been selected as this week's Male Athlete of the week. Despite a pair of losses to Washington & Jefferson in the only baseball action of the week, Jurinko did his best to lead the Golden Tornadoes offense. The freshman shortstop collected three hits in game two, including a triple and a pair of doubles. He also scored one of Geneva's two runs in its 4-2 11-inning loss in game one. For the season, Jurinko is tied for the team lead with seven extra base hits and a pair of home runs. Geneva's baseball team is off to a solid start with an overall record of 11-6.
