Anjelica Marsh - Softball

Anjelica Marsh has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Marsh opened the 2011 season with 12 hits in her first 27 at-bats (.444). She also posted a .483 on-base percentage while hitting an impressive .556 with runners on base in the first ten games of the season. Geneva opened the year with a 6-4 mark in its first week of the season at the Rebel Spring Games in Florida.

Jon Jurinko has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Jurinko helped lead Geneva to an 8-1 record to open the 2011 season Jurinko was 14-30 from the plate with four doubles, two home runs, five walks, seven RBI's, 12 runs to go along with a pair of stolen bases. After dropping its first game of the season, the Golden Tornadoes won eight straight games to end the first week of the season.
