Geneva College Athletes of the week for the week of April 12-17, 2010:

Female:

Aisha Moore – Track and Field
Sophomore – Sprints and Jumps
Sewickley, PA

Aisha Moore has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Moore led the women’s track and field team with three top ten performances at the Westminster College Invitational. Moore’s best performance of the day came in the triple jump where her second place distance of 10.03 meters was good enough for her to qualify for the NCCAA nationals in her third event. She also finished fifth overall in the 400 meter race and posted an eighth place overall distance in the long jump at 4.11 meters.

Dan Dillman – Track and Field
Junior – Throws
Portersville, PA

Dan Dillman has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Dillman turned in another solid performance for the men’s track team at the Westminster College Invitational on Saturday. Dillman was once again Geneva’s top thrower with a second place overall finish in the shot put and a third place spot in the discus. Dillman’s 13.44 meter distance in the shot put was a season best while he also posted a distance of 38.91 meters in the discus event. Dillman has qualified for the NCCAA national meet in both events.
