Ashley Archer - Softball Ashley Archer has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Archer broke the Geneva College record with her 52nd career pitching victory on Saturday at Chatham. For the week, Archer was 3-1 with a save as she led the Golden Tornadoes to a 6-2 week and a 22-12 overall record. In 20 innings this week, Archer struck out 20 batters and sits only 30 strikeouts away from the Geneva College career mark of 481. |

Joe Jurinko - Baseball Joe Jurinko has been selected as the Male Student-Athlete of the week. During Geneva's 2-2 week, Jurinko was 8-14 (.571) with 11 RBI's and five runs scored. Jurinko was a perfect 4-4 with four RBI's in Geneva's 13-3 victory at Waynesburg on Friday. He followed that with another solid day during Saturday's doubleheader which included his first home run of the season in the Golden Tornadoes' 20-15 loss in the night cap. |
