Aisha Moore – Track and Field Aisha Moore has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Moore turned in a pair of outstanding performances for the Golden Tornadoes at the Westminster College mini-meet last Thursday. She finished sixth overall in the long jump with a distance of 4.46 meters before taking home the top prize in the triple jump. Moore turned in a meet best 10.18 meter jump in the triple to take first place against a very competitive field. |

Doug Sanson – Baseball Doug Sanson has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Sanson won both of his starts last week for the Golden Tornadoes with a pair of complete games. Sanson tossed a five hitter against Waynesburg in Geneva’s 3-2 victory. He allowed two earned runs while striking out three batters. On Saturday, Sanson went the distance in leading Geneva to a 2-1 win against Bethany. Sanson again went seven innings and allowed just four hits with a pair of strikeouts. |
