Rebecca VanRegenmorter - Track & Field Rebecca VanRegenmorter has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Week. VanRegenmorter posted a pair of top ten finishes as the PAC championships this past week. She finished seventh in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:22. In the 1500 meter event, she posted a second place overall finish with a time of 4:54. She will be one of 12 student-athletes representing Geneva College this weekend at the NCCAA national track and field meet. |

Jon Jurinko - Baseball Jon Jurinko has been selected as the Male Student Athlete of the Week. Jurinko helped the Golden Tornadoes to a 3-2 record this past week including a doubleheader sweep over Westminster. For the week, Jurinko was 10-19 (.526) with five runs scored and ten RBI's. Jurinko was a perfect 4-4 in game two against Westminster including a solo home run to get Geneva on the board in the first inning. Jurinko also played a big role in the school's largest seventh inning comeback in school history. Jurinko's sacrifice fly scored the go-ahead run in a 15-14 victory over Thiel on Saturday. |
