Julie DiLonardo – Softball Julie DiLonardo has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. DiLonardo did not allow an earned run in four appearances stretching over a total of 26.1 innings of work. She went 3-0 on the week including a relief appearance of nine innings where she allowed just two hits in Geneva’s 13 inning victory over Waynesburg. She also had a complete game, shut-out victory over Thiel where she struck out six and allowed just three hits. For the week, DiLonardo struck out 20 batters. For the season, she has an overall record of 19-7 with a conference leading 107 strikeouts. |

Mike Jeffreys – Baseball Mike Jeffreys has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Jeffreys helped lead the Geneva baseball team to a 3-1 week both at the plate and on the mound. In the first three games of the week, Jeffreys went 6-12 (.500) at the plate while knocking in six runs. In Geneva’s 16-14 victory over Grove City, Jeffreys had a career best five RBI’s. On Saturday, Jeffreys took the mound against Grove City and came away with his first collegiate victory after 5.2 innings on the mound with three strikeouts. |
