Women

Samantha Johnson - Softball

Sophomore - Pitcher

Samantha Johnson has been selected as the Geneva women’s athlete of the week. The sophomore starting pitcher was recently tabbed as the East Region’s Player of the Year for her outstanding work on the mound. Johnson finished the regular season pitching more innings than any other pitcher in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) (165.0) and finishing with the most wins in the PAC with a 17-8 record after striking out 106 batters (#2 in the PAC). In addition, Johnson batted .281, with 25 hits, 12 runs batted in, and four stolen bases. During the PAC Championships Johnson batted a .308 running in four and contributing a run herself. Johnson pitched four games (28.0 innings pitched) down in Kentucky, striking out 11 batters for a 2014 season total of 117.

Jordan Rupert - Track & Field

Junior – Throws

Greenville, PA / Greenville

Jordan Rupert has been selected as the Geneva men’s athlete of the week. Rupert finished first in the javelin at the National Christian College Athletic Association Championships, held in Rome, GA. The NCCAA Champion tossed the Javelin a massive 53.89 meters.
