Leanne Abate – Softball Leanne Abate has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. In Geneva’s final doubleheader of the season last Monday against Thiel, Abate went 4-8 and hit one of the most dramatic home runs in recent history. In a game Geneva had to win for post-season hopes, Abate clubbed a two-out, three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game and send it to extra innings. It was the second game tying home run in the seventh inning this season for Abate. |

Tyler French – Track and Field Tyler French has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week. Competing in his first NCCAA national track and field meet, French came home with a pair of top ten finishes. He finished sixth in the discus with a distance of 135-07 before posting a fifth place finish in the shot put with a mark of 44-04.75. |
