Deanna Briody – Volleyball Deanna Briody has been selected as the female student-athlete of the week. Briody led the Golden Tornadoes to a perfect 3-0 record this past weekend and a Marietta College Tournament title. Briody picked up an average of 11.5 assists in Geneva’s three victories including a 46 assist performance in the win over previously undefeated Washington & Lee on Friday night. In the final match of the weekend, Briody again came up with 46 assists to go along with a team best five service aces in a victory over Marietta. |

Nick Edinger – Cross Country Nick Edinger has been selected as the male student-athlete of the week for the second time this semester. Edinger led the Geneva men’s cross country team to a third place overall finish at the Saint Vincent College Invitational on Saturday. Edinger finished second out of 98 runners with a time of 28:57 on the 8K course. It was Edinger’s third second place finish of the season for the Golden Tornadoes. He has finished in the top ten in every meet but one this season. |
