Black Student Organization

bso1.jpg

The Black Student organization was organized in the early 1970's because the African American students wanted to be able to have a place where they could connect and discuss issues that related to them specifically.  The club is student led and offers a voice to the students who seek to make sure that they are heard not only in the classroom, but within the campus community.  They not only voice their opinion on issues that are related to them, but they also seek to attend off campus celebrations such as dance or music events that are culturally apart of the African American community.  They also seek to bring cultural activities to the campus for the enjoyment of themselves and for the campus community.

The BSO meets together on a monthly basis to fellowship and plan campus events and programs.
