City House
The house is designed to give students a rich experience of living in a neighborhood and learning to live in Christian community. The "City House" is not a college program nor has any formal connection with the college. However, permission was granted by Dr. Ken Carson to develop the program. We have also received great help from many people including folks from physical plant, purchasing and student development. We are grateful. Students will pay a fee similar to room and board and will have some programmatic elements to the experience. They will be involved in a Bible study together, a book study and will do one volunteer experience per week in an agency or church in the neighborhood. Wendy Van Wyhe is directing the house. She has been the residence hall director at McKee Hall for the past four years. She is a business graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and Higher Ed graduate from Geneva. Wendy will both manage the house and direct the learning. (Most of the students living in the house qualified for off-campus housing.) If you’d like to know more about the house or its program, please contact either Wendy of Brad Frey at bfrey@geneva.edu. |

Wendy Van Wyhe and Brad and Sue Frey have bought a house (with significant help from an alum and a current staff person) at 819 Lincoln Place in the lower end of Beaver Falls.
