March 2012

The Geneva College Adult Degree Completion Program could change your life or the life of someone you know. So even if you are an ADCP grad or current student, please share this email with others.

Where Do I Start?

Are you graduating this spring with your associate degree? Do you want to take the next step in your educational journey? Do you need to know where to start? We can help!

If you’re looking to start in an upcoming cohort, the first thing to do is request copies of official transcripts from all colleges and universities you’ve attended. The transfer evaluation is an important piece of the admissions process. This evaluation will show all the classes that transfer into Geneva College and let you know if there are any requirements that need to be completed outside of the ADCP. By identifying the classes that you need to complete your degree, the transfer evaluation can save you time and money.

For guidance, please call the ADCP office at 800-576-3111 to speak to an enrollment counselor who will walk you through the admissions process.

Time to File for Financial Aid

Are you currently enrolled? Planning on starting class in 2012? Is returning to school a possibility you’ve considered? Then it’s time for you to file the 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to file by April15 to receive the best possible financial aid. To file, visit www.fafsa.gov and add Geneva’s school code, which is 003267.

Don’t Forget to Register for Bridge

Time is running out to register for spring Bridge classes! The Bridge Program is a great option for busy adults looking to finish credits in order to graduate or to accumulate credits to enter the ADCP. For a look at the schedule of classes and to register, visit www.geneva.edu/bridge or call your enrollment counselor at 800-576-3111.

Spring Honors Symposium

The Geneva College ADCP will host the Spring Honors Symposium to honor students who have submitted exemplary research projects. This event will be held on Friday, May 18. A reception will follow the student presentations. The Honors Symposium is a great opportunity for current and prospective students to learn and understand the work and research completed in the ADCP. Call the ADCP office at 800-576-3111 for more information and to RSVP. We hope to see you there!

Quotes of the Week

“Victory doesn't come by avoiding the difficulties, but rather passing through them victoriously, so the world might know the power is of God and not us."
