Seminar Descriptions:
Planning and Leading Text-based Discussions This one credit elective will aid teachers in planning and enacting text-based discussions using informational text with their students. The focus will be on segmenting text into manageable chunks and questioning techniques that support students in constructing meaning from text.
The Idea of Co-Teaching This one credit elective will introduce participants to the idea of co-teaching in inclusive classrooms. Co-teaching models, strategies, and practical application will be explored
COST: Each course is 30 clock hours or 1 graduate credit. Act 48 clock hours cost $150 per 30 clock hours. Graduate credit is current cost per credit, and courses will require additional assignments.
Students registering for Act 48 clock hours may not convert to graduate credits at a later date.
