Water’s everywhere, but it is a precious commodity. Matters related to water have become contentious for many communities and nations, particularly in reference to purity, access, and sustainability of resources. In this interdisciplinary course, we will use case studies and lab experiments to explore key water-related issues. A key component of this course is a trip to South Florida and the Keys to examine a unique set of problems and how communities are dealing with them.
Meets on campus for 12 days, plus travel for 10 days to South Florida, all in the May term
Trip cost: $1,300 (includes transportation, lodging, and activities)
