Washington Journalism Center

The Washington Journalism Center provides an advanced, experiential semester on Capitol Hill for students passionate about journalism. This experience will cultivate professional news skills and encourage students to think through the implications of being a Christian working in the news media in a city that is home to the powerful and the powerless.

WJC  blends classroom experience  with hands-on work and is an excellent opportunity to learn from leading journalists who share a Christian commitment. Participants engage in seminars and field trips, receive training from communications professors, and complete workshop projects for their local newspapers. The courses provide valuable insight and training in gathering and writing news, editing copy and designing layout. WJC helps students develop as Christian journalists -- exhibiting both professionalism and legal/ethical integrity.
