Admissions Procedures

Admission Requirements

  1. Applicants must have completed a B.S. degree in biology or nursing (B.S.N. or B.S./R.N.N.)
  2. Have a minimum GPA = 2.5 in their undergraduate work. 
  3. The student must visit the cardiac catheterization labs at INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute campus for a one day orientation. To arrange a visit, contact the Educational Coordinator, Mr. Russell Todd (russell.todd@inova.com).

 

To apply for admission for the certificate in cardiovascular sciences the student must submit:

  1. a completed application form
  2. an official copy of transcript(s) from the institution granting the B.S. degree in biology or related field.
  3. completed letter of reference forms (two needed)

 

Applications are accepted beginning February 1 and ending May 30. 

Please do not contact the admissions department at Geneva College for an application. The application process is conducted by Dr. David Essig (College Coordinator for Cardiovascular Technology) in the Department of Biology. To receive an application packet, please contact the Geneva College Department of Biology secretary (724-847-6730) or e-mail Dr. Essig. With the exception of the transcripts, the completed application forms can be received via fax (724-847-6900).

The Master of Arts in Counseling programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP).
