Prospective Careers

An Elementary Teacher is a professional educator who is licensed to teach a broad range of subjects to students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

A Secondary Teacher is a professional educator who is licensed to teach students in seventh through twelfth grade in one or more specific subject areas. (Biology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics, and Social Studies)

A Music Teacher is a professional educator who is licensed to teach music (general music, band, chorus, orchestra) to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

A Special Education Teacher is licensed to teach exceptional students in one or more of the following areas: mentally retarded, socially and emotionally disturbed, physically handicapped, learning disabled and brain damaged (in addition to an existing license as an elementary, middle or high school teacher; teaching experience required).
