This is a 1/10 scale model of our current design with an altered, rounded hull.  It was made using a molded polyethylene shell with auto body filler.

We tested it in our tow tank to find wave drag at various velocities.

Other options for hull design include:

  • Catamaran Hull
  • Displacement/Planing Hull

The Motor Controller is used for the endurance mode to control the speed of the boat.  It cannot handle the current needed to run the sprint motor.

Solenoids are used during the sprint mode to alternate between two speeds, switching between 24 V and 36 V.
