Keith Humphries

After an eight year lay-off on the Geneva football staff, Keith Humphries returned to fold for the 2009 campaign. Humphries was on Geno DeMarco’s staff from 1997-2000 before leaving to take the Beaver Falls High School head coaching position for the next five years. Humphries led the Tigers to the WPIAL championship game in 2000. Humphries has also enjoyed high school coaching stints at Freedom, Ambridge and Union. Most recently, Humphries served as the defensive coordinator at Sto-Rox High School from 2006-07. He remains the head track & field coach at Sto-Rox today. No stranger to Geneva, Humphries has continued in his role as an assistant men’s basketball coach for the Golden Tornadoes for the past 15 years.

In college, Humphries was a standout at Division I Louisville where he led the nation in punt and kickoff returns in both 1981 and 1982. Prior to his stint in Kentucky, Humphries was an all-state football player for Aliquippa High School. Humphries and his wife Virta reside in New Brighton along with their daughter Suqeena. When not on the football field, Humphries is employed by NF&M International.
