Luke Travelpiece

Officially beginning his fifth year on Geneva’s coaching staff, Luke Travelpiece has been around the Golden Tornadoes program since 2004. After a four year playing career at Berwick High School from 2000-2003 as a running back, wide receiver and defensive back, Travelpiece was recruited to play football for the Golden Tornadoes. An injury during his freshman season ended his hopes of playing at the collegiate level, but it didn't end his passion for the game. Travelpiece spent the next five years serving as a student-assistant coach and then a volunteer coach before being hired to the staff prior to the 2008 season. Travelpiece will be once again working with the Geneva running backs core in 2012.

Travelpiece graduated from Geneva College in 2007 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. He immediately put that major to good use when he got a job in the South Side School District. Travelpiece is set to begin his sixth year teaching 8th grade at South Side. He is single and resides in West Mayfield.
