CMU hosts Geneva runners

        Pittsburgh, PA – Geneva’s cross country teams traveled to Carnegie Mellon on Saturday to compete against 19 other schools at the CMU Invitational at Schenley Park. Geneva’s men finished eighth overall, while the women brought home a ninth place finish. Individually, Geneva’s men got a 12th place finish from Andrew Foxenberg (26:27) on the 8K course. Other top Geneva finishers included John Perkins (67th) and Philip Falk (79th).

            On the women’s side, Dee Koutsourais continued to pace the team with an 8th place finish in a time of 19:04, her best of the season on a 5K course. Geneva’s Beth Bartolomeo also broke the 20 minute barrier at 19:54 and finished in 39th position. Rebecca VanRegenmorter (48th) and Susan Fletcher (53rd) also had a solid afternoon.

            Geneva will now get set for the post-season at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference meet on October 28th and the AMC championships on November 4th.


 

Point of Excellence

Geneva's Communication Disorders students have attended graduate programs all over the U.S., at schools such as the University of Iowa, California State University - Fullerton, Gallaudet University and University of Pittsburgh.
