Bethany, WV – Geneva’s men’s soccer continued its struggles trying to find the net. The Golden Tornadoes dropped a 3-0 decision to McDaniel College at Bethany College. In four matches early in the 2006 season, Geneva has managed to find the net just once and have now fallen to 0-3-1 on the year.
For the third consecutive game, Geneva’s men played its opponent to a 0-0 halftime score. One day after a 0-0 final against Bethany College, the Golden Tornadoes watched McDaniel score three second half goals. The first coming in the 56th minute with insurance goals coming in minutes 70 and 84.
Sophomore goalkeeper Sam McCracken made six saves in the loss.
Geneva will try to solve its offensive problems when it gets back into action next Saturday when it travels to Grove City. The Golden Tornadoes will open their home schedule on September 20th when they host LaRoche College.
